Oxylabs proxy integration with Postern

1. First, you will need to download Postern. To do that, simply go to Google Play Store and click Install.

2. Then, open the app and click Add Proxy:

3. Then, in the following window, enter the required proxy information:

Residential Proxies

Server Name – Oxylabs
Server Address – pr.oxylabs.io
Server Port – 7777
Click Server Type and choose HTTPS/HTTP CONNECT or SOCKS5
Enter your login credentials under Username and Password.
Click Save

You can also use country-specific entries. For example, if you put us-pr.oxylabs.io under Server Address and 10001 under Server Port, you will receive the US exit node with a sticky session.

Enterprise Dedicated Datacenter Proxies

When it comes to Dedicated Datacenter Proxies acquired via sales, the process is similar. You have to use the following details:

Server Address – a specific IP address (e.g., 1.2.3.4)
Server Port – 60000
Server Type – HTTPS/HTTP CONNECT or SOCKS5

Self-Service Dedicated Datacenter Proxies

For Dedicated Datacenter Proxies purchased through the Oxylabs’ dashboard, you have to use the below information:

Server Address – ddc.oxylabs.io
Server Port – a specific port (e.g., 8001)
Server Type – HTTPS/HTTP CONNECT or SOCKS5

The port number directly corresponds with the sequential number of the IP address from your acquired proxy list. For instance, port 8001 picks the first IP from your list. Take a look at our documentation for more details.

Datacenter Proxies

To use Datacenter Proxies with Postern, fill in these details:

Server Address – dc.oxylabs.io
Server Port – 8001
Server Type – HTTPS/HTTP CONNECT or SOCKS5

The pay-per-IP subscription method sequentially assigns each port number to an IP address from your list. For example, port 8001 will use the first IP address on the list. For additional details, consult our documentation.

For the pay-per-traffic subscription, port 8001 will randomly select an IP address but will stay consistent for the session. To specify the proxy's location, for instance the United States, use the user authentication string formatted as user-USERNAME-country-US:PASSWORD. Please refer to our documentation for more details.

ISP Proxies

Server Address – isp.oxylabs.io
Server Port – 8001
Server Type – HTTPS/HTTP CONNECT or SOCKS5

4. After typing in all of the Oxylabs proxy settings, open the app menu and go to Rules:

6. Under Match Method, select Match All. Choose Proxy/Tunnel as the Rule. Proxy/Proxy Group should automatically fill in with Oxylabs – pr.oxylabs.io:7777. After that, click Save.

7. Now to use the proxy, you will need to turn on the VPN. Open the app menu and click on VPN Off to activate the connection. And that is it.
