How to Set Up Proxies With SocksDroid

SocksDroid is a mobile app for connecting to SOCKS5 proxies using Android’s VpnService. It routes the entire traffic from your applications to a specified server.
SocksDroid doesn’t run a VPN service. Instead, the app gives you the ability to quickly set up your own VPN server with self-acquired proxies.
1. To configure Oxylabs SOCKS5 proxies, specify the following details under Connection.
Server IP: pr.oxylabs.io
Server Port: 7777
You can also use country-specific entries. For example, entering it-pr.oxylabs.io under Server IP and 20000 under Server Port will acquire an Italian exit node. Please refer to our documentation for a complete list of country-specific entry nodes or if you need a sticky session.
Server IP: a specific IP address (1.2.3.4)
Server Port: 60000
For Enterprise Dedicated Datacenter Proxies, you’ll have to choose an IP address from the acquired list. Please refer to our documentation for more details.
Server IP: ddc.oxylabs.io
Server Port: 8001
For Self-Service Dedicated Datacenter Proxies, the port indicates the sequential number of an IP address from the acquired list.
Server IP: dc.oxylabs.io
Server Port: 8001
For the pay-per-IP subscription, each port number is sequentially linked to an IP address from your list. For instance, port 8001 will use the first IP address on the list. For further information, refer to our documentation.
With the pay-per-traffic subscription, port 8001 will randomly choose an IP address but will remain consistent throughout the session. To specify the proxy's location, for example the United States, use the user authentication string like this: user-USERNAME-country-US:PASSWORD. For more details, see our documentation.

2. Enable authentication and enter your Oxylabs proxy user’s credentials. Use the same username and password you entered to create a new proxy user in the Oxylabs dashboard.

Optionally, under the Advanced section, you can configure settings to use proxies for particular applications exclusively or create proxying exceptions.

3. Toggle the switch up top to enable proxies. You’ll see an icon in the notifications bar signifying the established proxy connection.
And that’s it. Your device’s traffic is now shielded by a SOCKS5 proxy for security and anonymity.
