How to Set Up Proxies With Kameleo Browser

To minimize the risk of browsing interruptions and profile bans, you can pair an anti-detect browser with proxies. This tutorial guides you through the process of integrating Oxylabs Residential and Datacenter Proxies with an anti-detect browser, Kameleo, on Windows.

How to Set Up Proxies With Kameleo

What is Kameleo?

Kameleo is a browser management app for Windows and Android that allows you to create multiple profiles for browsing, each with a unique identity. To combat browser fingerprinting, access blocks, and profile bans, Kameleo handles numerous desktop and mobile profiles simultaneously, imitating a range of devices and settings, all within a single platform.

The browser ensures your actual identity remains hidden when managing multiple accounts, launching advertising campaigns, or engaging in overseas e-commerce.

For automation, you can integrate Kameleo with the Playwright, Puppeteer, and Selenium frameworks through an API.

Configuring proxies

  1. Download and install the Kameleo application and set up an account.

NOTE: If you only need the Windows tool and aren't particularly experienced in coding or keen on automating browsing tasks, the Basic plan will suit your needs.

2. Launch the app, log in, and select New Profile.

6. To configure Oxylabs proxies, specify the following details.

Residential Proxies

Proxy type: HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5

IP/Host: pr.oxylabs.io

Port: 7777

You can also use country-specific entries. For example, entering ie-pr.oxylabs.io under IP/Host and 25000 under Port will acquire an Irish exit node. Please refer to our documentation for a complete list of country-specific entry nodes or if you need a sticky session.

Enterprise Dedicated Datacenter Proxies

Follow the below instructions if you purchased Dedicated Datacenter Proxies via sales.

Proxy type: HTTP or SOCKS5

IP/Host: a specific IP address (e.g., 1.2.3.4)

Port: 60000

For Enterprise Dedicated Datacenter Proxies, you’ll have to choose an IP address from the acquired list. Please refer to our documentation for more details.

Self-Service Dedicated Datacenter Proxies

Follow the below instructions if you purchased Dedicated Datacenter Proxies via the dashboard.

Proxy type: HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5

IP/Host: ddc.oxylabs.io

Port: 8001

When it comes to Self-Service Dedicated Datacenter Proxies, the port number indicates the sequential number of the IP address from the acquired list. Please refer to our documentation for more details.

Datacenter Proxies

Proxy type: HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5

IP/Host: dc.oxylabs.io

Port: 8001

For the Pay-per-IP subscription, the port corresponds to the sequential number assigned to an IP address from the provided list. Hence, port 8001 uses the first IP address on your list. Refer to our documentation for further details.

For the Pay-per-traffic subscription, port 8001 randomly selects an IP address but remains consistent throughout a session. You can also specify the geo-location, such as the US, in the user authentication string: user-USERNAME-country-US:PASSWORD. For more information, please see our documentation.

ISP Proxies

Proxy type: HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5

IP/Host: isp.oxylabs.io

Port: 8001

7. Enable authentication and enter your Oxylabs proxy user’s credentials. Use the same username and password you entered to create a new proxy user in the Oxylabs dashboard.
