Residential Proxy Integration in AdsPower

Various websites and search engines use browser fingerprinting as protection against malicious bots. Every browser leaves its traces online, so this information allows websites (or search engines) to identify unique users, detect bot traffic, and even track their users’ online activity. Online privacy isn’t a common thing anymore.

Browser fingerprinting is already making a significant impact on web scraping as well. It gradually becomes the primary weapon to identify web scraping bots. One way to beat browser fingerprinting and browse the internet more privately is to use browser management tools.

AdsPower browser management tool

AdsPower is a multi-login browser management tool suitable for Windows and Mac operating systems. The main AdsPower functions include:

  • Multi-Account Management
  • Dealing with the latest browser fingerprinting techniques by setting a specific browser fingerprint for each account
  • Proxy servers integration for more efficient browsing

Proxy integration in AdsPower

Using proxies unlocks many opportunities for the best browsing experience. For example, you can access geo-blocked content, surf the web anonymously, or use proxies for web scraping to acquire required publicly available information from the websites.

Imagine using efficient browser management tools such as AdsPower with reliable residential or datacenter proxies. In this case, you won’t need to deal with browser fingerprinting, geo-restricted content, or other issues anymore.

You should know that the AdsPower tool doesn’t provide proxies by itself. This is why we prepared you a step-by-step tutorial on how to configure our residential and datacenter proxies in AdsPower for Windows.

The overall process is the same for both Oxylabs Residential and Datacenter Proxies. To understand how it’s performed in detail, you can simply follow these steps:

1. Download the AdsPower tool on their official website by clicking here

2. Open the app and click the button Create.

3. If you want to use our Residential Proxies, under Proxy Type, choose HTTP and fill the form below. Enter for Proxy Host and 7777 for Proxy Port. Enter your login credentials: customer-yourusername under Proxy Username, and your Password under Proxy Password.

You can also use country-specific entries. For example, if you put under Proxy Host and 10001 under *Proxy Port, you’ll receive a US exit node with a sticky session.

For a complete list of country-specific entry notes, please refer to our documentation.

You can check if the proxy works by clicking Check Proxy.

For those who want to use Datacenter Proxies, under Proxy Type, choose HTTP and fill the same form below but with a few changes in the details. Enter your IP for Proxy Host and 60000 for Proxy Port. Enter your login credentials: your Username under Proxy Username, and your Password under Proxy Password.

Same as with the residential proxy example, you can check if the proxy works by clicking Check Proxy

In both cases, if everything is fine, click the OK button which is situated just below the Browser fingerprints block.

4. That’s all, you can now launch the browser by clicking Open under Profile Management.

Here is the whole process of residential proxy configuration for an easy start:

It’s worth trying the AdsPower application for an efficient browsing activity. As mentioned before, the AdsPower tool doesn’t provide proxies by itself. In this case, you need to be sure that you’re using the most reliable proxies for a smooth web scraping or browsing experience. Using AdsPower with our Residential or Datacenter Proxies helps you to avoid many browsing issues, e.g., dealing with browser fingerprinting.

If you have questions on how to configure our proxies in the AdsPower application or considering starting using Oxylabs’ Residential or Datacenter Proxies, contact our sales team for more information.
