A dedicated ISP proxy server is an IP address hosted on a data center but registered under ISPs (Internet Service Providers). These proxies combine the speed of Datacenter Proxies with the anonymity of Residential Proxies.

Oxylabs, in order to ensure stability of the provision of services and prevent any potential traffic abuse, limits the concurrent sessions of provided Dedicated ISP proxies.
The available concurrent sessions depend on the amount of traffic used per 1 Dedicated ISP proxy during a billing cycle:

• Until 100 GBs of usage per 1 Dedicated ISP proxy in a month is reached, available concurrent sessions shall be limited to 100 concurrent sessions per 1 purchased Dedicated ISP proxy (For example, purchasing 100 Dedicated ISP proxies means that 10,000 concurrent sessions in a billing cycle will be available until 5,000 GB of usage is reached);

• If 100 GBs of usage per 1 Dedicated ISP proxy is reached, the available concurrent sessions are reduced to 10 concurrent sessions per 1 Dedicated ISP proxy for the remainder of the ongoing billing cycle (For example, purchasing 100 Dedicated ISP proxies and reaching 5,000 GB of usage means that 1,000 concurrent sessions will be available until the end of the current billing cycle).

Dedicated ISP Proxies are private IP addresses hosted on servers in data centers but registered under a residential Internet Service Provider (ISP). Because the IP is assigned to a residential network, websites recognize traffic as coming from a trusted ISP. These proxies are dedicated to a single user and remain static, so the IP does not change.

Datacenter proxies use IP addresses that belong to cloud or hosting providers. Their Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) are associated with hosting networks rather than residential ISPs, making them easier to identify as datacenter traffic.

Residential proxies are IP addresses assigned to residential networks by Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Standard residential proxies typically rotate IPs because traffic is routed through the devices of different real users who can disconnect at any point in time.

A static residential proxy (or ISP proxy) keeps the same IP address for as long as you need. These proxies are hosted on high-speed datacenter infrastructure, but the IP addresses themselves are registered under residential ISPs. Here, “residential” refers to the IP’s reputation and assignment to a residential network, not its physical hosting location. This setup combines the stability of a static IP with the reputation and authenticity of a residential network.

The most reliable way to verify a proxy’s network is by checking its Autonomous System Number (ASN). To ensure accurate results, we recommend checking the IP in the RIPEstat database — see the documentation for more details. While some IP checker tools may label these proxies as datacenter proxies since they are hosted on servers in data centers, Oxylabs sources the IPs registered under residential ISPs.

The minimum purchase amount for Dedicated ISP Proxies is 5 IPs. Currently, it is not possible to buy fewer than five IPs in a single order.
