We're excited to announce a new partnership between Project 4β and the Data and Research Center (DARC) to support their work in providing bespoke data and research services for investigative teams.

About DARC

DARC is a Germany-based independent organization that provides expert-driven research, investigative technology, and data solutions to journalists, NGOs, civil society organizations, and select corporate clients. Their mission is to make data-based investigations more accessible, efficient, and secure.

Powered by OpenAleph – DARC's open-source platform for large-scale document and data search – their team helps partners conduct asset tracing, locate people and networks, analyze trade data, investigate ownership structures, and geolocate media. They also offer tailored support with infrastructure setup, data acquisition, analysis, and project collaboration.

Partnership Goals

DARC's projects often rely on accessing structured and semi-structured data from public websites, but increasingly, this kind of access is becoming technically challenging. Through the Project 4β initiative, DARC receives free access to Oxylabs' infrastructure – residential proxies and WEB Scraper API to enhance data collection efforts and scraping workflows.

Accessing information on the internet in bulk – even information that should be publicly available – is becoming harder and harder. We're happy to be part of the 4β program and streamline our processes with the help of Oxylabs.
