On October 22, 2025, Reddit filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York naming Oxylabs alongside three unrelated and unaffiliated companies. In the lawsuit, Reddit attempts to claim that it is unlawful to collect data that is publicly available to anyone with an internet connection through a simple Google search.

Our position is clear and unwavering: no single company owns public data.
