AI Summary:
Missed OxyCon® 2026, or want a second look at the good parts? All sessions are now on demand – AI and where it actually belongs in a pipeline, infrastructure built to adapt, and the rules shaping how public web data gets collected.
OxyCon® 2026 finished in the blink of an eye. Nine sessions, one very full day, and 3,000+ people watching someone explain why they deliberately made their own product worse (we've been dining out on that session for weeks).
If you were there, you already know. If you weren't, we're not going to make you feel bad about it – we're just going to leave the recordings right here.
Almost everything, anyway. Two sessions and every Q&A were live-only, exactly as advertised. We did warn you roughly four times.
Returning for its seventh year under the theme “Adapt. Scale. Lead.”, OxyCon brought the global web scraping community together for a day of technical deep dives, uncomfortable questions, and at least one demo that could have gone very differently.
Three threads ran through the day:
AI-native extraction & autonomous workflows – where AI actually belongs in a production pipeline, and where it very much doesn't.
Adaptive real-time data & scalable infrastructure – browserless approaches, adaptive access, and decisions made at the scale of thousands of crawlers.
Governance, compliance, & strategic value – the new rules of collecting public web data, and who gets affected when access narrows.
Your Next Dataset Starts with a Prompt
Andrius Kūkšta, Tech Lead @ Oxylabs unveiled a new Oxylabs solution built on an agentic approach to dataset creation – with a demo turning a high-level idea into a structured dataset, without a single line of code.

Web Hydration: Loading Dynamic Content Without a Browser
Etienne Ellie, Lead Developer @ Scraping Bee made the case that you don't need a full browser to load dynamic content. If he's right, a lot of infrastructure just got lighter.

We Made Our Web Search Worse on Purpose
Emilis Strimaitis, Head of Innovation @ Hostinger spent months doing the opposite of what most AI teams do: deleting things. Seven agents became one, and the product got better.

Is the Web Closing? What It Could Mean for Businesses, Journalists, and Researchers
Carl Miller (Centre for the Analysis of Social Media), Paul Bradshaw (BBC/Birmingham City University), and Krishna Sood (Black Forest Labs) on whether open access to public web data is quietly narrowing – and who pays for it when it does. Panel discussion hosted by Denas Grybauskas, Chief Governance and Strategy Officer @ Oxylabs.

… and that’s only four of nine. The rest cover AI around the pipeline rather than inside it, agentic workflows built for Fortune 500 companies, and a panel on turning industry friction into an actual advantage.
Last year the word "AI" came up 108 times. We told registered attendees to keep count this year and place their bets.
We're not going to spoil the number, though. It's in the recordings.
OxyCon® 2026 is over, but the sessions aren't going anywhere – and no schedule to work around this time! Start with the one you missed and let autoplay do the rest.
And there will be a next one. We'll bring more speakers, you bring the questions.
