Our annual online event has garnered numerous industry leaders and will include 6 presentations, 2 panel discussions, and 14 speakers,  some of whom come from firms such as Hotjar! OxyCon 2023 is also filled with diverse topics and experts, so don’t miss out on the virtual conference happening on September 13. Now, let’s look at what you might expect from the event.

As has become tradition, the conference will be guided by our very own Gabija Fatėnaitė, Director of Product & Event Marketing, and Vaidotas Šedys, Head of Risk Management. The purpose of our hosts is to help speakers answer all your inquiries, so don’t hesitate to ask questions!

For a full schedule, check out the OxyCon page.

Agenda overview

The various topics discussed throughout the event will be plentiful. They’ll range from common talking points such as “Overcoming Blocks in Large-Scale Web Scraping” and “Leveraging Machine Learning for Web Scraping” to more specific examples like “Unlocking Insights from Video Data” and “Accelerating Data-on-Demand Services with Async Python and AWS.”

There will also be a panel on the intricacies of legalities in web scraping. Ever since the HiQlabs v. Linkedin legal battle, the whole scraping community has been closely engaged in the topic, therefore we’ll explore it even further by focusing on 3 points of interest:

  1. What are the following legal cases that could impact the web scraping industry?

  2. Best legal practices in the web scraping industry.

  3. The critical legal challenges of web scraping for AI-related purposes.

How to prepare for the sessions?

The three core topics of OxyCon 2023 are:

-Developer Track: Mastering Advanced Web Scraping

-Business Track: Harnessing the Power of Web Data

-Innovation Track: Unveiling the Future of Web Scraping

All presentations will fall under one of the topics listed above. Do note that the timings of each presentation are in the British Summer Time (BST) zone, which is London time, or UTC+1.

Also, because we want to simplify the participation process and make it as accessible as possible, we’ve allowed you to join any and all sessions that you wish to see.

How can you interact with speakers and attendees?

This year, everyone who registers will be able to discuss with each other and the speakers through a dedicated Discord Community. This will allow you to connect with hundreds of other attendees using just a few clicks! Key features of this community are:

  • Meeting new people and expanding your professional network

  • Finding important information about the conference and checking its schedule

  • Continuing the discussions from different sessions

  • Sharing your impressions and feedback about the presentations

You can easily set up a profile by using your email. Check this link if you need more detailed information about using Discord or creating an account.

What’s coming up?

The free virtual conference, OxyCon 2023, will happen on September 13, so don’t forget to register and mark your calendars. Right before the event, you’ll receive a unique login code and the link to the conference, allowing you to participate in one of the top industry-leading data-gathering conferences worldwide.
