We’re excited to share that Oxylabs earned a place on the DataIQ Awards 2026 shortlist in the Best Data and AI for Good Initiative – Solution provider category for Project 4β.
This category recognizes data and AI initiatives that have delivered positive social, environmental, or societal impact. Entries demonstrate how data and AI were applied responsibly to address real-world challenges and create measurable benefits beyond commercial outcomes. For us at Oxylabs, the nomination strongly acknowledges a belief we’ve held from the start – that public web data, when gathered responsibly and applied thoughtfully, can help people tackle urgent, important questions.
Project 4β is our pro bono program supporting academia, researchers, NGOs, nonprofits, and journalists working in the public interest. Through the program, we provide free access to Oxylabs’ web intelligence collection solutions, that help partners gather public web data at large-scale for critical research, investigations, and socially impactful work. Among them are investigative journalism organizations such as ICIJ, Follow the Money, and Bellingcat, disinformation researchers including Debunk.org, Doublethink Lab, and CeMAS, and researchers from academic institutions such as Warwick University, Stanford University, and University of Michigan.
Over time, Project 4β has grown into an important part of how we serve beyond commercial use cases. The program reflects our broader commitment to making advanced web data-gathering accessible. We aim to support organizations and individuals whose work generates lasting social value, but who may lack technical resources to do so at scale.
This nomination shows our commitment to building advanced web data-gathering solutions. It also highlights our aim to make these solutions available where they can create meaningful impact.
We're grateful to the DataIQ team for the recognition — it reflects our commitment to building advanced web data-gathering solutions and ensuring they're available where they can create meaningful impact. Behind Project 4β is a team of dedicated colleagues and partners whose research, accountability work, and public interest investigations we're proud to support.
Denas Grybauskas, Chief Governance and Strategy Officer
