AI Studio is a suite of AI-powered tools designed to simplify the process of finding and collecting ready-to-use web data through natural language prompts. With AI Studio, you can seamlessly connect data to AI models or real-time applications, eliminating the complexity of web scraping and allowing businesses to focus on strategic goals. Instead of writing scripts or dealing with HTML structures, you just describe what you need in plain English — no scraping expertise required.
The AI-powered applications can be applied to a wide range of use cases. For example, you can monitor competitor prices, extract required product information, find the best flight or event ticket deals, map API endpoints and developer resources, and much more.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to get started with AI Studio and explore its applications step by step.
At the moment, Oxylabs AI studio includes five AI-powered apps, each tackling a different web data challenge:
Start from a single URL, and let the crawler explore relevant pages based on your prompt.
Explain your needs in plain English and let the tool handle the parsing for you.
AI agent that mimics human behavior to navigate and extract the data you need.
For web search tasks, it interprets natural prompts to find and retrieve relevant results.
A website mapping tool that lets you discover relevant pages within a website.
So, how do you start using AI Studio?
The first step before you can start using AI Studio is registering an account. Click on the Sign up button on the AI Studio homepage and login with Google or fill in your credentials (email and password matching our criteria). Then, click on Register.
Once you’re in, you can start using AI Studio apps right away. Try the platform for free to make sure it’s suitable for your use case and project requirements or choose a plan from a selection of flexible subscription options. Every plan includes advanced URL parsing, NLP support, API integration, and more.
Explore the plans on the AI Studio pricing page.
Note: Since all apps in AI Studio follow a similar setup process (e.g., entering a URL, describing your needs in plain English, and sending the request), this guide will use the AI-Scraper app as an example to get you started.
In case you’re not sure which of the apps best fits your use case, you can also write down your prompt on the homepage, and AI Studio will automatically suggest you a suitable application.
If you select a free trial, simply navigate to AI Studio > select your desired app (in our case AI-Scraper) > click Try for free.
Head to AI-Scraper’s page and provide a website link you wish to scrape. From there, you can either retrieve a markdown output or get structured JSON data.
If you select the JSON output option, you will be prompted to define a schema that will be used to parse the data from the website. After clicking on Generate schema, AI will generate the schema, you’ll be able check if everything is correct. If not, you can make adjustments manually or regenerate the schema.
Then, click on the Scrape & parse button and in just a few moments you’ll see the retrieved title and price of the product.
Done! Now, you’re ready to integrate the output into your data gathering processes on a larger scale. Simply click on View integration code and copy the Python code we’ve already prepared for you based on the data you just entered in the user interface.
As mentioned before, all apps in AI Studio follow a similar setup process. However, for your convenience, we’re prepared short summaries on how to use each of the remaining apps.
Enter the URL you would like to use as the starting point for the crawling process.
Describe, in natural language, the type of pages you want the crawler to find.
Select your desired output format.
If you select the "JSON" output option, you will be prompted to define a schema that will be used to parse the data extracted from each page.
Input the target website URL.
Describe, in natural language, the actions you want the browser to perform. The browser agent can execute any interaction that a human user can, such as clicking links, filling forms, navigating pages, and more.
Select your desired output format.
If you choose the "JSON" output option, you will be prompted to define a schema. This schema will be used to structure and parse data extracted from the website after the browser has completed all instructions.
Input the search query you would like to use.
Set the number of results you want to retrieve.
Toggle content scraping to include page content from search results.
If you enable content scraping, you can also toggle JavaScript rendering to include dynamic content from result pages.
Enter either a URL or domain you want to map.
Describe what you want to discover or map on the website.
Configure mapping parameters like depth, sources limit, and geo-location.
The AI will systematically explore, map and extract the URLs.
By removing scraping complexity, AI Studio is meant to simplify and speed up complex tasks, such as crawling, scraping and browser automation.
